Patrise Henkel

Patrise Henkel is a western Pennsylvania painter and writer who finds endless inspiration in the natural world. A plein air painter since childhood, she creates both charming small portraits of places and bold, expressive acrylic landscapes.

Patrise shares her love of art by teaching drawing, painting, printmaking, and multimedia collage at Craftwork Studios. She also hosts the Johnstown Writers Circle, a supportive community for writers at every level.

Her award-winning work has been featured in exhibitions across the region, including Gallery on Gazebo, Allied Artists of Johnstown, Westmoreland Heritage Festival, and MVA Gallery. She studied art and art history at CCS Detroit, Eastern Michigan University, and the University of Michigan.
