Pysanky Egg Class
Pysanky are real eggs that are not painted, but have been "written" with bees wax and submerged in dyes batik style to create one of a kind designs. Traditionally Eastern European, and made during Lent, this ancient art form dates back many hundreds of years. Although there are more modern methods, I promote the original process, using a candle, a tool called a kistka, beeswax, and specialized dyes. All necessary items will be provided, and everyone takes home a completed egg at the end of class.
