Multi-Media Play Day!
Come spend a joyful day making mixed media art with the Craftwork Collage Team! Whether you want to make a single artwork, a series of cards, unique gifts, or simply play and see what emerges, Craftwork Studios is your creative sanctuary.
What You’ll Do:
Dive into collage: Collect and layer your favorite colors, patterns, papers, prints, stamps, fabrics, and found objects.
Experiment freely: Play with paint, inks, stamps, stencils, and more to discover new techniques.
Design with delight: Combine elements into original, one-of-a-kind compositions.

Christmas In July:Pinallata/Stroffoli Class
Basic pasta dough flavored with vanilla. The dough is rolled out flat and cut into small diamond shapes and deep fried until crispy.
The dough puffs up slightly and once fully cooked (about 1 minute) it is dusted in sugar and cinnamon and set aside briefly to cool. Once cooled the fried dough bits are then mixed with honey that is heated in a pot. Once covered they mixture is transferred to a bowl or cup and sprinkled with non-periles. The sweetness from the honey and the crispy fried dough is the perfect combination of flavors. It is the perfect thing to bring to an Xmas party or give as gifts.
So come one come all and learn to make this festive treat and your friends will keep begging you to make it again and again.

Christmas In July: Italian Egg Cookies!
Once you master the subtle art of this cookie you will be the hit of any holiday gathering!
The class will focus on initial ingredients, mixing process, dough formation, flavors and icing and decorating. The Italian egg cookie is made with egg, flavoring, flour, and sugar. The cookie dough is rolled into finger length strips and formed into a knot or spiral and baked then iced and decorated. Flavors include anise, vanilla, almond, lemon, and orange. You can also add non-periles for an added extra festive design.
Let our resident culinary guru teach you this fun and festive cookie process as well as how to use the cookie in versatile ways. Once you master the subtle art of this cookie you will be the hit of any holiday gathering when you show up with a cookie that is considered a delicacy!
Mini Collage Bookmark Class
Making collage bookmarks is both very fun, and a unique challenge!
Highly recommended to have some experience, such as attending Multi-Media Play Day at Craftwork Studios.
Ready to start honing some of those collage skills? Making collage bookmarks is both very fun, and a unique challenge. The small space means, where you place things starts to become very important. There's far less room for error. In this class you will begin to learn concepts of:
Composition
Balance
Color Coordination
Negative Space Use
We will use fabric and paper on a cardstock/cardboard background that will be pre-painted for your convenience in a variety of colors.
While all materials will be provided for you, if you have any fabric scraps or magazine clippings you wish to bring it is recommended to do so.
Ages 12+
Children under 18 must have a responsible adult with them.

Kinusaiga Class
Colorful fabric pieces tucked into pre-cut grooves to create your design.
Join us for this beautiful and beginner-friendly Japanese art form—Kinusaiga! (keen-oo-sigh-gah) This is a craft you probably never heard of but will fall in love with. It was popular in the late 70’s and is now made a comeback.
It looks like a cross between quilting and stained glass but it isn’t. This is “fabric painting” without sewing, using colorful fabric pieces tucked into pre-cut grooves to create your design. All materials, tools and instructions are provided so you can relax and watch your artwork come together. AGE:18+ yr old

Beginners Lap Quilt
This workshop is for the beginner who wants to learn how to make a quilt from start to finish!
This workshop is for the beginner who wants to learn how to make a quilt from start to finish! There are three main stages: Making the Quilt Top, Free Motion the layers together, and Binding. First, you will make the quilt top by learning how to cut fabric using a rotary cutter properly to avoid accidently cutting yourself. You will learn how to use quilting rulers, gain an understanding of basic sewing terminology, and the difference between pressing fabric and ironing. You also will be able to sandwich the quilt top that you pieced together and quilt it, by learning a simple free motion stitch that can be done on the machine too! Afterwards you will learn how to bind it, the final process of making a quilt.
The sewing room is located on the second floor. and the studio has 2 straight stitch industrial sewing machines available to use, however it is encouraged for you to bring your own if you have one. It is recommended to have a membership while you are taking this workshop, especially if you don’t have your own sewing machine, so you can work on your project between classes. This class runs biweekly until you finish your quilt, generally 4 classes are needed.
NOTE: THE CLASS MEETS BIWEEKLY
You will need the following supplies for this workshop: For the FIRST CLASS--10 coordinating Fat Quarters (18”x22”) fabrics, and Thread to match your fabric (NOT Coats & Clarks brand). For the following classes (which will be discussed in class): ½ yard fabric for the edge of quilt, 2 yards of 108” backing fabric and package cotton batting for lap quilt. Bring your worn jeans or clothing that has a “hole” and learn ways that you can visibly patch it in a cute decorative way.
Do you like to upcycle clothes? Do you like to do hand sewing, such as embroidery or sashiko? What about mending clothing with an under patch with some fancy stitching, or weaving with colored floss? If this sound like fun to you, then this is the class for you!

We do have some supplies available; however, you are welcome to bring your own favorite sewing notions such as: needles (sewing, embroidery, darning), pins (straight & safety pins), embroidery floss, small embroidery scissors & fabric marking pens.

Paint A Mug!
Create a one of a kind acrylic pour art mug!
Create a one-of-a-kind mug just for you! Using the basic concepts of Acrylic Pour, you can make a fancy mug for your daily cup of coffee or tea. You will be able to pick your colors and mix your paints with acrylic flow medium. The mugs will need to be coated with a protective sealant after they dry and will need baked afterwards. Therefore, participants will need to return to pick up their mugs after they have been sealed.
